Systems Improvement


Co-facilitate the Chittenden Network for Children, Youth and Families (KidsNet), a partnership that connects a wide array of community partners in order to strengthen the health, safety, and wellbeing of children, youth, and families.
Co-facilitate the Youth Mental Health Action Team, one of three action teams of the United Way of NW VT's Mental Health Initiative.  The action team has a shared vision of helping to create a system of care that results in healthy, connected youth with a sense of belonging and purpose.
Convene the Community Advisory Board to the Family Services Division of DCF (Burlington office), to improve policy and practice at the district level via input and action by consumers and community members.
Co-facilitate the Children Exposed to Domestic Violence committee (CEDV), a joint committee of KidSafe Collaborative and the Chittenden Co. Alliance Against Sexual and Domestic Violence.  CEDV discusses issues surrounding children and families exposed to domestic violence with the goal to highlight issues, raise awareness in our community, and create plans to address children living in homes where domestic violence exists.
Actively participates on community collaborations affecting children and families including: Building Bright Futures regional council, Child Fatality Review Team, Chittenden Co. Homeless Alliance, Chittenden Co. Truancy Workgroup and School Engagement subgroup, CommStat, Family Treatment Court Docket steering committee, RISPNet, UVM Children's Hospital Child Protection Team, UVM Children's Hospital Community Advisory Council, youth voice & safety in supervision workgroup & others
Convene an annual Legislative Forum focusing on issues of child maltreatment and domestic violence.  Planning and organization support provided by the Children Exposed to Domestic Violence committee.
Act as a consulting resource for partners and community members for questions related to child welfare, particularly for questions related to mandated reporting and Child Protection Team empanelment.
Recognize outstanding service providers supporting children’s safety at our annual Awards Luncheon.
Provide and disseminate regular information and updates to partner agencies and organizations regarding issues concerning child safety and well-being.
